■ TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
ELASTOPAINT is a colored painting made up of elastic and flexible resins in watery solution projected for the development of
important mechanical properties. After complete drying form an elastic film, impermeable to the water and the atmospheric agents,
characterized by a low retention of dirt and exceptional adhesion to the treated supports. Due to its characteristics it’s indicated for
painting facades with problems of little lesions and cracks. In fact, the elastic nature of the main binder allows the formation of a
protective coating that compensates the little expansions and the lesions of the supports due to vibrations and arrangements.
Moreover because ELASTOPAINT is impermeable to CO2
, is suitable to protect concrete structures subject to deformation.
■ COMPOSITION AND USE
ELASTOPAINT is made of special elastic co-polymer in aqueous solution, quartz sand, inorganic pigments and special additives.
Due to its chemical composition is used in painting walls with little cracks and to protect concrete structures subjected to small
■ PREPARING SURFACES AND APPLICATION
The walls must be seasoned and dried, free from dust and dirty. Any traces of oils, waxes, grease, paintwork, loose material, saline
efflorescence, mould, etc. must be properly removed. Fix the imperfections of the surfaces. In case of unpainted walls check that the
surfaces has been seasoned for at least 28 days. Apply a layer of ELASTOFIX (elastomeric fixing agent) or IDROFIX DM 50
(special fixative), on absorbent surfaces, walls with significant differences of absorption or plasters with crumbling parts or in phase
of separation. Then apply two or more hands of ELASTOPAINT by roll, brush or spray. The first hand must be diluted with 20 –
25% of water, the second with 10 – 15%. ELASTOPAINT may be applied on render and concrete with capillary cracks, even if they
are widespread, without carrying out any special preparation operations. Deeper cracks must be opened and repaired with specific
